Where is Munting Buhangin Beach, the pristine coastal paradise nestled in Udalo, Abra de Ilog, Mindoro Occidental, Philippines? Barangay Udalo is situated on the coast line of northern Mindoro in between Abra de Ilog and Puerto Galera, the bustling tourist destination in Mindoro Oriental. The distance to Abra de Ilog Pier is about 4 kilometers and to Puerto Galera border about seven kilometers.

MUNTING BUHANGIN BEACH

Once arrived in Munting Buhangin Beach the visitor is rewarded of a site very different from other beach front locations. The shoreline along the property consists of rock formations inter linked with four sand coves along 650 meters of beach frontage. The waters in front of the property features beautiful corals, making it ideal for snorkeling. At the far west side of Munting Buhangin Beach one can find a natural enclosed sea water pool excellent for swimming in the ocean. The property is elevated in an amphitheater like setting, sloping upwards towards the mountain ensuring ocean views from virtually every location within the property. Steep ridges around the property form natural borders and are giving the site a feeling of remoteness and tranquility. Along these ridges one can enjoy thrilling views along Mindoro Coast and see Batangas and Luzon. The highest point of the property is approximately 145 meters at the tip of the location.

HOW TO GET TO MUNTING BUHANGIN BEACH FROM ABRA DE ILOG

Munting Buhangin Beach is only a 20-minutes outrigger boat ride (BANKA) away from the Port of Abra de Ilog. The other option is a ride on the new Highway under construction from the pier that will eventually connect to Puerto Galera. Take a tricycle to Sigman or Udalo and then it is a short hike to Munting Buhangin Beach.

HOW TO GET TO ABRA DE ILOG FROM BATANGAS

MONTENEGRO SHIPPING LINES (MSL) provides a regular, around-the-clock ferry service to Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro. MSL-ferries depart Batangas at 2am, 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6.30pm and 10pm. HOW TO GET TO MUNTING BUHANGIN BEACH FROM BALATERO, PUERTO GALERA

Munting Buhangin Beach is only a 45-minutes outrigger boat ride (BANKA) away from White Beach, Puerto Galera. Your boat trip will lead along the picturesque coast with its many pristine white beaches and mountainous background. Puerto Galera can now also be reached along the newly consturcted Highway.

HOW TO GET TO PUERTO GALERA FROM BATANGAS

Batangas Port has several ferry companies that offer trips to Puerto Galera. You can choose to ride a regular ferry or a fast craft. Popular ones are Montenegro and Island Water. The earliest time of departure is at 6:00 AM.

HOW TO GET TO BATANGAS FROM MANILA

Travel time from Manila to Batangas by land is an average of one to two hours through SLEX and STAR Expressway. Bring your own car and park either at D&D parking or at the pier itself. There are many bus rides to Batangas leaving from Cubao or Alabang as well.
